Sailors are back to work after a 10 week strike. Now is the season for Capelin and Cod and Lumpfish in April. 20 hours after the strike was cancelled one capelin boat was coming in with 2700 tons .

Little quantity of fish is being landed by the coastal fleet in Iceland these days.  It is just a fraction of what normally is being landed due to the sailor strike on bigger vessels. The sailorstrike in iceland and ongoing and will most likely not be solved , in the next week The coastal fleet is fishing a few hundred ton per day in average.

Capelin To Japan

For the first time Reykjavik Seafood , exports Capelin To Japan. Between christmas and new year we loaded the First container. We are also working on selling several other containers to Asia , to be sent in 2017.

Reykjavik Seafood attended the seafood Exhibition in Qindao 2016. The results were amazing and we have already decided to have a larger team and better material at the Qingdao Expo 1 of November 2017. We thank our visitors for good meetings during the exhibition.

We are pleased to have cleared out the freezers in Iceland of Cod Roes from 2016 season. We are looking for new customers for coming season. We will be providing industrial roes over 600 grams in 9 Kg Blocks.
